One Tagaytay Place, Tagaytay City

This is the first time that Club Tourists will blog a Hotel. Because of the great service and wonderful ambience, this hotel is worth mentioning.

One Tagaytay place just started 4th Quarter of 2008. The hotel was not classified as of the moment.

Club Tourists formulated a checklist to check if you're staying in a Good 3-5 Star Hotel:

1. Cleanliness?
Yes. From the lobby to the elevator up to the hall way and most especially the room.

2. Good Food?
Yes. Not a Buffet type but the breakfast is good. Your choice of an American and Filipino delicacies

3. Accessibility?
Yes. 5 minutes drive to Picnic Grove. 10 minutes drive going to Madison Square.

4. Warm Staff?
Yes. Very accommodating staff. Very attentive with the guests requests. Very courteous and polite

5. Wi-Fi Access?
Yes. But slow connection

6. Swimming Pool?
Yes. Good enough for small groups. With Kiddie pool.

7. Welcome Drinks?
Yes. Serving of juice drinks upon checking in

8. Comfortable Bed? (with clean sheets and soft pillows)
Yes. It feels like you don't want to go out your room anymore.

9. Quiet Environment?
Yes. No vehicle sounds. Really peace and quiet.

10. Functional Facilities? (Telephone, Lights, TV, Ref and Aircon)
Yes. All in good condition

11. Safety Deposit Box?
Yes. The deposit box is not working in our room but they have deposit box in the lobby area.

12. Hot and Cold Water?
Yes. Working fine.

13. Soap, Shampoo and other Toiletries?
Yes. Good for 1 pax only. Can be requested

14. Secured Location?
Yes. Surveillance monitoring 24/7

15. Affordable?
Yes
. Packages for long stay, corporate discounts and PROMOS

16. Function Rooms?
Yes

17. View?
No.
The view is not what we expected for. We're expecting that our room is overlooking Taal Volcano but its not. But the good side in this hotel has a veranda.

18. Credit Card?
Yes. Especially for BPI Credit Card holders. They offer discounts

19. Online Reservation?
Yes. Go to their Site to reserve now.

20. Location Pickup/Transfer?
No. We are not offered to any of these.


Score: 18/20 - 90%
The verdict: PASSED


With the hotels motto: "One Fine Day, One Great Place... One Tagaytay", you can really feel the difference.

How to Go there:
Via SLEX, take Sta. Rosa Exit and turn right after the expressway tollgates. This takes you to the Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa Road. Drive west, where you’ll pass by Paseo de Sta. Rosa, and travel all the way to the junction where the Tagaytay City Market is located. Turn left at the junction toward Picnic Grove and People’s Park in the Sky. Our Tagaytay lodge, found on the left side of the highway, is about 800 meters from this junction. 711 is infront of the hotel and Southridge Estate is on its right.

From the Aguinaldo Highway, drive straight toward Tagaytay Circle (Rotunda). Turn left toward Picnic Grove and People’s Park.
