Club Tourists tried Googling about Greek Restaurant in the Philippines and Manos Greek Taverna was the number 1 in the list. This very simple restaurant is quietly located along Calamba Road in Olivarez San Jose.

October 15 | Talisay City, Cebu
In celebration of the feast in honor of Sta. Teresa de Avila, the city comes alive with activities such trade fairs, nightly variety shows, civic parade and street dancing featuring city’s famous products like lechon, cooking demonstration & food fair with tastiest lechon contest.

KASANGGAYAHAN FESTIVAL
October 15 - October 25 | Sorsogon, Sorsogon
Every October of each year, the Kasanggayahan Festival is celebrated in Sorsogon in commemoration of its foundation as a Province. It is a province-wide festival, with the center of activities in Sorsogon City.

A celebration of thanksgiving and bounty featuring the banana.

BUGLASAN FESTIVAL
October 16 - 25 | Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental
The main part will be in the Sidlakan Village but the whole City of Generator people will be in Festival Fever. The highlight of the Buglasan Festival 2009 in Dumaguete will be the streetdance contest in the morning of Friday the 23 followed by the Bugalsan Parade through the road-construction sides of Dumaguete City in the afternoon of the same day. MASSKARA FESTIVAL
October 19 | Bacolod City
Bacolod City never seems to lose its luster, especially when Masskara celebration comes. The annual Masskara Festival Held in Bacolod City every October is a celebration which has earned for Bacolod the title "City of Smiles". We consider aswang simply a myth, with no factual basis. It does not exist except in the imagination of people. Second, to promote economic growth by helping small businessmen. We do this through trade exhibits during the festival.Third, to promote Capiz as a good tourist destination by highlighting its famous sea food products, fine beaches and other local scenery.”

APO FIESTA

Held every last Friday of October in honor of ‘Apung Mamacalulu’ or the Lord of the Holy Sepulcher.

HINUGYAW SA ANILAO
October 31 | Anilao, Iloilo
This is a celebration of the separation of Anilao from Banate, which also features various sports and cultural activities.

Loboc River, Bohol

Bohol is one tourist attraction that a traveller shouldn't missed. Bohol tops all views because of its well-known chocolate hills and not to mention extinct animal like the Tarsier. But Bohol has other attraction - its one of a kind food-trip experience.

Several floating restaurants are found along the Loay Bridge, just 20 kms from Tagbilaran City. These floating restaurants are built from bamboo or "kawayan" (materials used in making "Bahay Kubo" or Nipa Hut). These are placed atop two (2) banka-hulls. These motored-bankas are the restaurants engine. On the platform, buffet tables are in-place with delicious local foods. As soon as the floating resto are filled with 20-25 guests, the experience begins! The floating restaurant starts to maneuver upstream, the buffet table is open, the local band plays from folk songs to local pop songs and the scenic view of the Loboc River just captures your attention. Not bad for an amount of Php 250 ($ 5) for a complete package.

Life along the river goes on with some of the locals do their daily stuffs. Not to mention several kids who will ask for a little change (coins) from tourists for them to climb in a large coconut tree and dive in the water. Hows that for a little thrill from the locals right?

The end of the trip, which takes about 45 minutes to reach a small waterfalls called Busay. As soon as the boat reached the falls, this marks the point where the floating restaurant cannot go any further. This just allows the guest to enjoy the view and listen to another group of singers with their instruments for their presentation. After some time, the return trip starts.

Visit Loboc River for a very unique experience.

Crazy Crepes, Robinsons Galleria

We love Crepes so much that's why we've alotted one space for this yummy treat. Crepe is a simple, do it on your own treat. This is made by pouring batter (mixture of flour, water, egg and milk) in a hot circular pan. After making a "pancake-like" look, take it away from heat and pour whatever treats you like! Different fruits like strawberry, mango, apple or what have you. Put in some syrup like chocolate or vanilla or spread Nutella or peanut butter into it. Sprinkle it with nuts, cereals, choco flakes or chips. After placing whatever ingredients you may desire, top it with whip cream or ice cream and a lot more of fruit tidbits.

Mouthwatering!

Club Tourists recommend Crazy Crepe located in 3rd Level Robinson's Galleria. Just prepare a budget of Php 200 and below to enjoy this. Yummy!

Korea Garden Restaurant, Makati City

You've tried Japanese, Chinese and American Food already, right? Now, try the Korean dish. Korean cuisine is largely based on rice, noodles, tofu, vegetables and meat. One distinct feature about Korean food is their side dishes. An average of 5 side dishes around your table. Not bad for an appetizer huh?

Club Tourists tried Korea Garden located in Jupiter Street in Makati. As we've enter the place, white table sheets with fine table preparation welcomed us. A simple fine dine restaurant for your. But mind you, the price is not that expensive. An average of Php 200 bucks per meal. Great deal right?

Bite Club Grilled Burger, Boracay

The sights and sounds in Boracay are fascinating, not to mention the delicious food that this popular island serves. Club Tourists stayed in Boracay for almost a week. We've ate a lot of seafoods and realized we missed some urban treats like burgers, spaghetti or the like. Thank heavens there's Bite Club Grilled Burger in D*mall beside the famous Ferris wheel.

Gelato is an Italian frozen dessert, similar (and tastes like) ice cream. With our curiosity, we tried this in Gelatone in Greenbelt 3. Quite expensive for a single scoop worth Php 100 bucks but its all worth it. Because of our love in ice cream, a single scoop won't hurt. They say, Gelato has lower fat compared with the regular ice cream. Good for health conscious folks. This is one healthy ice cream just like in BTIC. So help yourself.

R. Ma Mon Luk Restaurant, Manila

One of the oldest Mami and Siopao Resto in Philippines is the R. Ma Mon Luk Restaurant. This all began when the late Chinoy Ma Mon Luk (aka Mami King) migrated here in the Philippines. His experience started when he went here to ask the hand of a wealthy Cantonese girl but unfortunately, just like in any "tele-seryes" (filipino mini-movie thats broadcasted in primetime tv), the rich parents don't like a poor kid for their daughter. Tragic love story right? Loveless and penniless, Ma Mon Luk tried to check his luck in the streets by selling chicken noodle soup. Can you imagine a "magta-taho" who has a bamboo pole in his shoulder with 2 metal containers on both ends? That's how he goes around Manila to offer his tasty treat. It paid of. He's very popular with students in Manila during breaks and even lunch times. Who wouldn't try a hot noodle soup with bits of chicken in it, try adding some pepper and fish sauce... imagining it is simply satisfying!

Man Mon Luk's hardship paid-off. From a hawker to entrepreneur, he started his first resto in Binondo Manila. He's offering not just noodle soup but other dumplings like Siopao and Siomai. Because of its unmatched taste, the restaurant grew its popularity until it reaches 6 major branches all over the metro.

Now, only 2 branches stand. One is quietly located in the busy street of Quiapo, Manila and the other is in Quezon Avenue, Quezon City. Different branches but with same taste, look and feel. Tradition, practices and even utensils are old-school. But what the heck, all you need to do is to finish your mami and special siopao right? Club Tourists recommend the special siopao. Ya Kun Kaya Toast Coffestall, Manila

We had our first Kaya Toast when we went to Funan Digital Life Mall in Singapore with our friend Paui (http://pauicardeno.multiply.com/). He was the culprit of this craving actually. Thanks dude! Its time for a break so he encouraged us to try the famous Kaya Toast. We went to a stall full of old-timer staffs, ordered toasted bread with soft-boiled egg and coffee. Not a typical set-meal here in the Philippines. We tried the combination, and to our surprise, it tastes Great! The next thing we asked, "Is this coffe-shop available in the Philippines?".

Loi Ah Koon, from China, started this mouth-watering food on the year 1944. Ya Kun is a Hanyu pinyin equivalent of Ah Koon. That's why it is called Ya Kun Kaya Toast.

The first stall was located in Telok Ayer Basin. Now, they have over a hundred stalls across different Asian countries like Singapore, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan and of course the Philippines.

Kaya Toast is a popular snack among Singaporean. This is a combination of toasted bread, kaya jam and butter, cheese or margarine. Kaya is made of eggs, sugar and coconut milk and flavored with pandan. Good for anytime of the day. Match this with coffee or tea and soft-boiled egg. Whoooo... Simply Perfect!

The first stall here in the Philippines is located in the departure area of the NAIA terminal 2 (Check out Our Awesome Planet by Anton for details). We were really excited that this yummy toast conquered the Philippines already. We won't be any happier when we accidentally passed through it in Robinson's Place Manila. Second stall in history. The stall is near Mercury Drug, Savory Chicken and Robinsons Supermarket.
